the\nglobe, while you collaborate across the globe with key functional teams and enhance your strategic business acumen.\nJob Description\n Roles and Responsibilities\nSupport Business Verticals in creating and reviewing (in conjunction with the leadership team) systems solutions as part of the OTR process, ensuring that solutions are technically fit for purpose and that technical risk is understood and managed with contingencies identified. \nSupport project execution- Analyze customer's contract, prepare specifications to vendors and internal stake holders.\nBasic and Detailed engineering for variable speed drive system, Converter duty transformer, MV/LV motor, MV/LV switchgear, power and signal cables \nPrepare technical documentation as per contractual requirements, vendor documentation review.\nPerform / review power system design and studies for various industries/domains.\nIdentify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan.\nReview solutions developed and identify opportunities for improvement of process, system, or equipment\nEnsure strict compliance with all company and customer’s EHS policies and procedures.\n Identify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team\nFoster relationship with other GE business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies.\nLiaise with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, and Supply Chain as appropriate to support the project and the business. \nLiaise with other GE businesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate to support the project and the business. \nDrive lean mind set to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects.\n Required Qualifications\nMasters / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering from reputed College/University\nElectrical system engineering/power system design & study experience in Industry / Marine / O&G / Power sectors\nMinimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in engineering design / power system studies for systems based on VSD, Transformer, Motor, Switchgear \nExperience of system integration working on multi-discipline projects\nKnowledge and application of International Standards.\nConversant with marine classification society (ABS, DNV, LR, BV etc…) rules for equipment certification.\nAbility to adapt and multitask with project/application engineers.\nAnalytical and innovative approach in problem solving.\nProficiency in MS Office applications\nDesired Characteristics\nWork in a team in matrix environment for successful execution of project\nWillingness to learn and execute with passion.\n Be self-motivated, creative and a team player, with ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems.\nCapable of working with multi-disciplined international team with good personal organization skills\nAbility to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales\nStrong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills\nQuickly identify best practices and apply them within the team.\n Strong prioritizing and time management skills\nWilling to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments.\nWilling to work extended hours during the week, at weekends/holidays at critical
