You'll work alongside seasoned TFAs to develop technical expertise in power generation equipment, build lean thinking habits, and develop the leadership skills you'll need as your career grows.\nUpon successful graduation from the FEP, you will transition into a full Technical Field Advisor position - travelling to customer sites to support installation, maintenance, and warranty work on industrial rotating equipment.\nWhat You'll Do\nInstall, maintain, calibrate, and repair industrial power generation equipment (gas and steam turbines) at customer sites, including emergency and preventive maintenance work.\nRead and interpret electrical and mechanical flow diagrams, instrument diagrams, and perform dial and laser alignment and thermal growth measurements.\nProvide technical guidance and on-site instruction to customer representatives on installation, operation, repair, and maintenance.\nPrepare accurate technical reports, job status updates, and customer records to support current and future outages.\nWork safely and consistently under GE Vernova's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies - setting the standard for your team and the customer's contractors.\nSupport and coach other team members by sharing field engineering knowledge and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.\nWho You Are\nYou're a practical, hands-on person who learns best by doing. You're comfortable in changing environments, calm under pressure, and motivated by solving real problems in the field - not sitting behind a desk. Whether you're just starting out or coming from a technical trade background, you bring curiosity and drive, and you're ready to build your career in a role that matters.\nRequired Qualifications\nA technical or university degree in a relevant field - or a High School Diploma / GED (equivalent) with relevant experience in a field services or industrial maintenance role.\nSome experience in field services, power generation equipment maintenance, or a closely related technical discipline.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, flow charts, and instrument drawings.\nEnglish proficiency (written and spoken).\nWillingness and availability to travel extensively, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as field assignments require.\nA formal degree is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and technical capability.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with Alstom, Siemens, or other original equipment manufacturer (OEM) power generation equipment.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities on a live site.\nClear communication skills - able to brief customers, write reports, and share knowledge with teammates.\nWhy GE Vernova\nGE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
