The HVDC Research & Development Departments are at the forefront of worldwide innovation in HVDC and are expanding rapidly.\nJob Description\nResponsibilities:\nProduction routine testing of all HVDC & FACTS products.\nDiagnostic down to component level for test failures.\nPerform routine VAV process.\nSupport Maintenance, Calibration and Servicing of test equipment.\nSupport in test equipment upgrades and product changeovers.\nMaintain daily safety checks and applicable documentation.\nComply with GE safety requirements.\nTo carry out duties as a PIC - Person in charge.\nSkills and Experience Preferred:\nEHS compliance and safe working practices.\nAbility to deliver results, address and resolve technical issues.\nDemonstrated experience in a manufacturing Test environment and knowledge of automated Manufacturing test equipment.\nTechnical Electrical qualification.\nKnowledge of running test equipment up to 10KV or 2000A @ low voltage.\nKnowledge of HVDC product testing would be advantageous.\nInteraction with others and good at sharing knowledge.\nSpecific Abilities:\nInterpersonal and communication skills.\nSelf-motivating, proactive and results driven approach.\nProblem-solving and root cause identification skills.\nAble to work to deadlines with good quality.\nProficient in the English language, written and verbal.
