This field-based role serves as the technical expert for DairyProX, GEA’s new semi-automated milking system. They are the technical project manager to assess new prospective customers at the pre-sale phase and then manage the technical process for product installation, commissioning, then optimization processes throughout the product’s lifecycle. The DairyProX technical project manager must have excellent communication skills and will need to work with engineering, technical support, product management, dealers, dairy producers, and industry experts to be successful in this role.\nWork with engineering and product management on new product roll out\n\nBecome the technical expert on DairyProX semi-automated milking system\n\nWork with technical documentation department to update manuals when needed\n\nCreate quick guides for DairyProX\n\nSupport both technical and sales training for DairyProX\n\nSupport project execution for installations\n\nTechnical field expert for DairyProX NAM\n\nSupport in field installations and optimization of DairyProX\n\nSupport creation of online training courses and face to face classes\n\nProject management support of installations\n\nSupport direct sales\n\nHave basic knowledge on system cleaning and “Good Cow Milking”\n\nGain and maintain expert knowledge of features and benefits of DairyProX\n\nAnalyze and review pre-start-up product requirements to ensure system stability and reliability\n\nConsult and support customers with troubleshooting equipment and software related issues, with ultimate solutions\n\nReporting, evaluating and follow-up on farm visits/ start-ups for DairyProX\n\nCommunicate with management by means of call reports, progress reports, and dealer evaluations.\n\nAssist in development of training\n\nLead relevant trainings to internal GEA teams and external customers\n\nTravel up to 80%\n\nLead Responsibilities:\nAssessment and project management of DairyProX semi-automated farms/dealerships\n\nInstallation, commissioning, and startup of DairyProX semi-automated farms\n\nEnsure DairyProX requirements are completed on farm before installation\n\nTraining on DairyProX operation on farm\n\nSupport DairyProX hardware and software to ensure success in the market\n\nAbility to assess whole farm system to determine how to best optimize the hardware, software, maintenance, and routines to support dealers and customers\n\nSupport regional team as an expert on the above topics\n\nManage the process for on-farm work to ensure proper installation, commissioning, and startup of systems\n\nYour Profile / Qualifications\nTroubleshooting competency, but not limited to:\nMultimeter testing of electrical circuits\n\nCAN_BUS, RS-485, and ethernet\n\nPneumatic circuits\n\nElectronic logic both PCB and PLC\n\nProficient with all diagnostic tools and applications related to GEA\n\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.\n\nAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nThe typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $38 - $45 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
