This role demands an aptitude to deliver high-quality workmanship, communication effectiveness, and the ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure the retention of our customers. Responsibilities / Tasks\nTroubleshooting of GEA equipment and other manufacturer’s equipment. \nPerforming of planned and unplanned services and maintenance and repairs to equipment of all types and sizes as per applicable GEA SOP’s and maintenance manuals. \nInstallation and Commissioning of Equipment. \nAssist in Service Project Execution activities. \nOverhauling of Ammonia equipment. \nTravel for business support in Africa.\nPerforming of tasks as per the defined and strict schedule to meet the deadline. \nCarry out site visits, audit and monitor site performance. \nGathering and classifying data using various measuring equipment applicable to the equipment. \nRead gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid pressure and distribution in systems. \nOperate various equipment in compliance with legal guidelines. \nTesting of malfunctioning systems and components using electrical, mechanical, digital, and pneumatic controls. \nCoordinate with other departments for various purposes like budget expenditures, deadlines, and other technical support. \nPreparation of quotation estimates for repairs and maintenance, installation, and commissioning of equipment. \nMaintaining of records of repairs and maintenance of equipment requiring future service as per maintenance schedules, corporate governance, legal requirements, and customer requirements. \nCoordinating of work schedules with other departments and shops to keep inconvenience to a minimum. \nProviding of technical direction to service personnel. \nAdhering and following all HSE governance of GEA and customers\nDeliver service execution of the highest quality. \nYour Profile / Qualifications\nQualifications & Experience\nCertificate, Diploma or relevant Artisan qualification in a technical field applicable to our organization.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience within the industry. \nCompleted Health & Safety training courses. \nTechnical Expertise:\nDemonstrated in one or more of the following trades:\nMechanical \nElectrical AC & DC \nMillwright \nFitter & Turner \nRefrigeration \nSkills & Competencies:\nAbility to read and interpret basic schematics, drawings, and diagrams.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.\nCustomer service orientated.\nStrong planning and organizational skills\nAbility to perform effectively under pressure.\nGood verbal and written communication
