Follow-up with written trip reports.\nWork closely with customers in a problem-solving mode where GEA’s Valves, Pumps and Cleaners product lines and technologies bring benefit to the customer.\nIdentify sales leads, qualify and pursue the business accordingly.\nDevelop trusting relationships based upon expertise, integrity, and friendliness.\nAcquire sales and market intelligence on issues such as competition, price, and project status.\nAggressively follow up promptly throughout the sales process until a final determination of customer action.\nSeek advice and guidance concerning the business at hand from experienced GEA colleagues as appropriate.\nMake persuasive formal customer proposal presentations.\nAssist with the set-up and fully participate in trade shows as assigned.\nNegotiate secrecy agreements, terms of payment, and conditions of sale.\nRoutinely update and add to the CRM system to reflect current developments in customer opportunities.\nManage expense account for travel and entertainment on a timely basis.\nContributes to team effort by completing all tasks, as may be assigned by Life Science Sales Manager for Valves, Pumps and Cleaners.\nYour Profile / Qualifications\nFour-year degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree.\n5 years of Life Science business development and sales experience.\nDemonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data.\nMust know pharmaceutical processing equipment, FDA regulations, and standards such as cGMP, ISPE, USP, ASME BPEetc.\nMechanical “hands-on” aptitude a plus.\nMust be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.\nMust possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently.\nMust be detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to provide timely feedback to both internal and external customers.\nMust be willing to travel as business development and sale assignments and industry functions require.\nMust have proficiency in MS Office products, with knowledge of CRM programs.\nMust be self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude.\nAt GEA, we don’t just offer jobs-we offer opportunities to thrive, grow, and make an impact.\nThe typical base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.\nThe pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
