Combining project management and safety engineering expertise, this role ensures all solutions are designed, engineered and delivered in accordance with applicable safety standards, hazardous area classifications, explosion protection principles and relevant legislation.\nKey Responsibilities\nHealth & Safety\nComply with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures.\n\nPromote safe working practices and contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture across all projects.\n\nQuality Management\nWork in accordance with company quality systems, policies, procedures and standards.\n\nSupport the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the company's quality management systems.\n\nOperate within corporate policies and frameworks while contributing to strategic improvements where appropriate.\n\nProject & Technical Responsibilities\nAct as a key interface between clients, engineering and manufacturing teams, promoting a safety-first approach throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nEnsure compliance with ATEX, DSEAR, the Machinery Directive and equipment validation requirements.\n\nPrepare Technical Files for equipment and projects in accordance with relevant legislation.\n\nProvide technical leadership on risk assessments, explosion protection, hazardous area compliance and applicable harmonised standards, including EN14460:2018, IEC 60079-32-1 and ISO 12100.\n\nLead root cause investigations into technical incidents and product failures, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.\n\nDevelop and execute test plans and test rigs to validate the safety and performance of equipment and components.\n\nIdentify and implement improvements to engineering tools, standards and procedures to enhance safety, compliance and operational efficiency.\n\nCarry out site surveys, hazardous area classifications and ATEX audits, including travel within the UK and internationally where required.\n\nPlan, coordinate and monitor engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with all applicable standards.\n\nWork with third-party contractors to establish safe working practices and realistic project delivery plans.\n\nEnsure effective integration of process requirements into automation and control systems.\n\nManage project tasks and associated resources to achieve cost, quality and delivery objectives while providing regular progress updates to Project Managers.\n\nWork effectively across multiple engineering disciplines and projects simultaneously.\n\nPerformance\nEnsure all engineering documentation and information is checked, verified and approved in accordance with company procedures.\n\nTake ownership of allocated tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently while meeting project cost, schedule and quality objectives.\n\nCorporate Responsibilities\nCollaborate with other GEA sites to achieve operational efficiencies and share best practice.\n\nPersonal Development\nTake responsibility for your own professional development by identifying and agreeing current and future training needs.\n\nSupport change initiatives the company's performance management process.\n\nYour Profile / Qualifications\nDegree qualified in Electrical, Process or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering or technological
