You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.\nThe Technical Sales Support Engineer located in Oakdale, MN (Hybrid role) will support the growth of GEA's North American service business by providing technical and commercial support for aftermarket opportunities related to spray drying, powder handling, fluid bed systems, atomization equipment, emission control systems, and process plant upgrades. The role works closely with Service Sales Managers, Project Managers, Engineering, and the Centers of Competence to develop customer-focused solutions that improve plant performance, reliability, efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.\nThe successful candidate will support sales activities involving spare parts, repairs, field service, modernization projects, service level agreements, process optimization, and equipment upgrades across the industry.\nProvide Technical Sales Support including identification of part numbers, Level 1 technical support, researching availability of replacement components from past projects, and preparation of service project quotations.\nCollaboration with Service Sales Account Manager, Customer Sales Representatives, and Project Managers to produce timely quotations of Spare Parts and tailored Service Project Solutions to customers.\nEffect sales of GEA LPT Division; represent the company in a professional manner\nActively promote the service product portfolio - to external customers and internal employees\nDevelop trusting relationships with key decision makers and stake holders\nTravels to potential and existing clients for sales support/evaluation as needed\nActively prepare proposals for service projects, Service Level Agreements, recommended spare parts packages\nUse CRM database as primary sales tool for information sharing in organization\nAssist with large project Spare Parts opportunities - provide follow up and ensure the sale is executed\nParticipate in the negotiation of offers, quotations, and contracts (customer T&C’s)\nObtain technical assistance and collaborate with other departments for more complicated applications and solutions\nProvides market feedback (competition, trends, etc.) to Service Management\nYour Profile / Qualifications\nA bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business or related field is preferred\n3-5 years of experience in Sales/Sales Support is preferred\nMust be available to travel 10% of available working time\nMust understand technical process and have a firm understanding of service capabilities\nMust be detail oriented\nMust possess good English language communication skills, both verbal and written\nMust possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently as required.\nInherent sense of urgency about providing superior customer service\nMust be self-motivated\nAdvantageous to have working knowledge of MS Office products\nMust have the ability to learn current ERP System used for order entry\nInterpersonal skills\nOrganized and Analytical\nShows Initiative and Team Player\nStrong communicator at all levels\nListens carefully, contributes own opinions in a constructive matter\nPrioritizes customer needs, establishes effective relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders\nAt GEA, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer opportunities to thrive, grow, and make an impact.\nPlease note: This position is based in the United States and does not offer visa or work sponsorship.
