From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).\nGEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.\nRole Overview:\nComply to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity of Metallurgical Lab operation \nPrepare the sample for mechanical testing such as hardness, tensile strength, and other relevant metrics \nPrepare the sample for metallurgical evaluation including sectioning, mounting, polishing, grinding and etching\nOperate and maintain Metallurgical Lab equipment and ensure its calibration validity. \nAdhere to laboratory procedures during performing of metallurgical lab operation, maintain general laboratory housekeeping (5S) \nPerform incoming inspection of controlled material if required \nLiaise with external laboratory or supplier related to metallurgical service (Ensure all external metallurgical service quotation, purchase order and certificate be delivered timely) \nGood communication skill and able to work with Requestor for metallurgical evaluation and analysis \nFlexible with working timing and Willingly to work in rotating shift & weekend \nThe Ideal Candidate:\nKnowledge in Aerospace, Material science or Mechanical field with experience in laboratory sample preparation and interpretation of microstructure\nRequired Qualifications:\nMinimum GCE ‘O’ level and/or with 3 years of relevant experience.
