This role focuses on protecting organizational assets through endpoint detection and response (EDR), scripting, orchestration, and operational security automation. The engineer collaborates with infrastructure, cloud, and security operations teams to strengthen security posture, streamline workflows, and reduce operational risk.\nThis position requires strong technical expertise in endpoint security platforms, automation frameworks, scripting, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and improve operational efficiency through automation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAdminister, maintain, and optimize endpoint security platforms including EDR/XDR, device control, and endpoint management solutions.\n\nDevelop and maintain security automation workflows to improve detection, response, remediation, and operational efficiency.\n\nCreate and support scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.\n\nMonitor endpoint security alerts and collaborate with Security Operations teams during investigations and incident response activities.\n\nImplement endpoint hardening standards and security baselines for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.\n\nSupport identity and access management initiatives related to endpoint security controls.\n\nIntegrate endpoint security tooling with SIEM, ticketing, orchestration, and monitoring platforms.\n\nParticipate in security assessments, audits, compliance initiatives, and remediation efforts.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint security and automation issues.\n\n·Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support secure infrastructure and cloud initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\n3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, endpoint engineering, systems administration, or security automation.\n\nExperience administering endpoint security platforms\n\nExperience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.\n\nUnderstanding of endpoint security principles, threat detection, malware defense, and incident response processes.\n\nFamiliarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise endpoint management.\n\nExperience working with SIEM or security monitoring platforms.\n\n·Knowledge of vulnerability management tools and remediation processes.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with cloud security technologies in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.\n\nExperience integrating APIs and security tooling.\n\nKnowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and identity security concepts.\n\nExperience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, SCCM, Intune, Jamf, or Puppet.\n\nTechnical Skills\nEndpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR)\n\nSecurity Automation and Orchestration\n\nPowerShell, Python, Bash\n\nAPI Integrations\n\nEndpoint Hardening\n\nCloud Security Fundamentals\n\nSoft Skills\nStrong attention to detail\n\nEffective communication and collaboration\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities\n\nSelf-motivated and adaptable\n\nContinuous learning mindset\n\nStrong documentation practices\n\nAnnual Salary\n$110,000.00 - $230,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
