This role translates financial and operational needs into actionable data solutions, supports data governance initiatives, and continuously improves reporting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This individual will lead complex analytics, mentors others, and drives improvements in financial data quality, scalability, and insight generation.\nScope & Impact\nLeads cross-functional or multi-domain initiatives\n\nImpacts multiple teams or Finance sub-domains\n\nTrusted advisor to Finance leadership on data and reporting\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead design of complex financial data models and analytics\n\nPartner with Finance, Product, and Technology stakeholders on transformation initiatives\n\nEstablish best practices for reporting, validation, and documentation\n\nMentor Analyst I and II team members\n\nProactively identify data gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities\n\nRespond to ad hoc financial data and reporting requests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.\n\nEvaluate, streamline, and optimize manual processes and legacy reporting to improve efficiency, data integrity, and scalability.\n\nAct as a liaison between finance, business operations, and technology teams to address evolving business challenges and enable effective data solutions.\n\nAutonomy & Decision-Making\nOperates with high autonomy\n\nMakes recommendations that influence priorities and approaches\n\nAnticipates issues and resolves them proactively\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.\n\nExperience working with financial data and systems in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role.\n\nProficiency in data querying and analysis using SQL, Python, or comparable tools.\n\nExperience developing dashboards and reports using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).\n\nExperience working with ERP systems and financial data structures.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nPreferred\nExperience in planning and/or project management.\n\nProperty & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience.\n\nCore Competencies\nFinancial and analytical acumen\n\nData modeling and reporting\n\nStakeholder partnership and communication\n\nProcess improvement and automation\n\nData quality and governance awareness\n\nLocation: Chicago, IL; this is a hybrid role with a 3-day in office requirement\nAnnual Salary\n$86,100.00 - $133,250.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
