Wherever the brand shows up, our designers and writers pair strong ideas with exceptional craft to create work that is compelling, consistent, and impactful, whether in a major campaign or an everyday expression.\nAs a Designer II, you will design and produce work that brings the GEICO brand to life across print and digital platforms. Working under the direction of senior designers and creative leadership, you will contribute ideas, execute with care and accuracy, and build the craft and brand fluency that strong creative work depends on.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign and produce high-quality creative assets for print and digital platforms, contributing concepts and taking work from initial direction through final files.\nDevelop assets for digital channels including display, paid social, and DOOH, covering concepting, resizing, simple animation, taxonomy, and export.\nDesign and prepare electronic files for print using prepress industry standards, and review proofs for accuracy.\nApply GEICO brand standards consistently across everything you touch, asking questions early when direction or usage is unclear.\nBuild and maintain templates in brand templating and presentation software, including authoring, editing, and archiving assets.\nModify and manipulate illustration and photography for use in creative assets and presentations.\nCollaborate with copywriters to bring copy and design together into cohesive work.\nManage multiple assignments at once, keeping work on schedule and flagging risks or roadblocks early.\nApply feedback from creative leadership and learnings from performance data to strengthen the work.\nProvide clear project status updates through project management tools, email, and Slack, and participate in kickoffs and working sessions with internal partners.\nExplore new tools, technologies, and emerging creative tech - in addition to the adoption of AI - that can improve creative output and streamline how work gets made.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nBA/BS degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.\n3+ years of relevant design experience within an in-house creative team, agency, or brand-led organization.\nPortfolio demonstrating strong design craft and typography, with a clear passion for design across a range of formats.\nProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), with familiarity in Figma.\nDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for building and refining presentation materials.\nWorking understanding of brand standards and how design supports marketing goals.\nFamiliarity with AI prompt writing and collaboration tools used to develop and review creative work.\nMust provide a creative portfolio link to be considered.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAbility to translate business objectives and marketing strategies into clear, effective visual solutions.\nSound creative judgment, with the ability to make thoughtful decisions and know when to raise questions or escalate for alignment.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in file setup, specs, and final delivery.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong organization across a high volume of requests.\nAbility to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.\nWillingness to take and apply feedback to improve the work and grow as a designer.\nClear communication verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, in person and remote.\nComfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.\nCuriosity about the craft, with a habit of staying current on new techniques and tools.\nPREFERRED:\nExperience working within a large enterprise marketing or brand environment.\nExperience working within enterprise project management tools such as Wrike or Workfront.\nExperience applying brand guidelines, visual systems, or design standards across a range of creative project types.\nExperience creating 2D motion graphics (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, etc.) or working with brand templating software.\nExperience creating HTML5 web banners (Google Web Designer, Celtra, etc.).\nLOCATION:\nThis position is hybrid, with an expectation of three days per week in office. Preferred locations are commutable to New York City (Manhattan Office) or Washington D.C. (Corporate HQ).\nAnnual Salary\n$73,800.00 - $115,825.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
