This team is focused onautomated toolsand infrastructure as code to streamline operations on our Openstackprivate cloud, our network, and our hardware fleet. Managing aprivate cloud in an enterprise environment requires knowledge of hardware, virtualization, operating systems, and infrastructure automation.\nPosition Responsibilities\nAs an infrastructure automationengineer, you will:\nDrive innovation of OS and firmware update strategies to ensure good testing, stability, performance, security, and remote management capabilities\n\nDevelop tools and processes for automated testing of servers and operating system images\n\nDeveloptools to monitorserver fleet health and performance, focusing on strategic upgrades, proactive maintenance, and quick response to hardware, firmware, and detectinganomalies\n\nDevise and implement automation scripts and tools for a wide range of fleet management tasks using a combination of IaC(Ansible, Terraform, etc) and traditional programming languages like Python, Go, and Rust\n\nWork closely with our Openstack, Storage (ceph), and Hybrid Cloud teams to understand the automation needs for managing our private cloud, and understand the potential impact of OS and Firmware updates\n\nDevelophardware lifecycle strategies, assessing ongoing performance, cost-effectiveness, and longevity from procurement to decommissioning\n\nKeep a finger on the pulse of industry innovations, especially concerning CPU, chipset, storage, GPU, firmware, and BMC developments, ready to lead adaptation and advancement within our infrastructure\n\nDesired Experience and Qualifications\nProfessional development experience in one or more of: Python, Go, Rust, C\n\nFamiliarity with IaCtools such as Ansible and Terraform in an enterprise private cloud environment\n\nHands-on experience in OS and firmware management strategies in a private cloud environment\n\nHands-on experience in systems/server management working with technologies like Redfish, BMC, and IPMI standards andcrafting solutions for enhanced remote management of server hardware\n\nFamiliarity with architecture and management of server hardware, particularly focusing on CPU, chipset, storage, and GPU integration, and interoperability standards\n\nUnderstanding of OpenStackand proven success in elevating server fleet management and automation practices\n\nExperience implementinglogging and dashboards with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki\n\nExceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to integration details\n\nIndustry certifications that endorse expertisein hardware engineering, firmware management, or data center operations are highly beneficial\n\nUnderstanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth\n\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience\n\nAnnual Salary\n$75,000.00 - $160,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
