You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.\nPosition Description\nOur Senior Engineer works with our Sr Staff Engineer and other Sr. Engineers to innovate and build new systems, improve, and enhance existing systems as well as identify new opportunities to apply your knowledge to solve critical problems. You will lead Project and Execution of a technical roadmap that will increase the velocity of delivering products and unlock new engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in the Open-Source Observability, Data platform domain.\nPosition Responsibilities\nAs a Senior Engineer, you will:\nFocus on Single or multiple areas and provide technical and thought leadership to the enterprise\nCollaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve our toughest problems\nAccountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions\nBe a executor as well as an active learner, helping to coach more junior engineers and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community.\nConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams\nDetermine and support resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes to ensure desired results, demonstrate adaptability and sponsor continuous learning\nWilling to take on-call and operational support\nQualifications\nGood hands-on experience in building complex distributed system to process large scale telemetry and architectures to support the scale and performance, with great knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes\nAdvanceed knowledge of at least one OOP language such as Java, Go, Python, etc.\nExperience building distributed systems\nExcellent communication skills - needs to be able to lead projects from the front and interact with clients and sponsors on a regular basis\nExperience with continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code\nIn-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms\nExperience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches\nAbility to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment\nWilling to work on both fast development and operation environment\nKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, test automation and related tools, operations, real-time communication)\nExperience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches\nKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, test automation and related tools, operations, real-time communication)\nExperience operating in cloud naitive environments like Azure and AWS\nDeep knowledge of devop pipelines, Helm charts and Kubernetes\nExperience\n4+ years of professional experience in software development using a modern programming language like C++, Java, Python, or Golang\n3+ years of experience with architecture and design\n3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid data center\nExperience with APISIX or other API Gateways is a plus\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience\nAnnual Salary\n$105,000.00 - $215,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
