You will lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap that will increase the velocity of delivering products and unlock new engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in their domain.\nPosition Responsibilities\nAs a Senior Staff Engineer, you will:\nFocus on multiple areas and provide technical and thought leadership to the enterprise\n\nCollaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve our toughest problems\n\nDevelop and execute technical software development strategy for a variety of domains\n\nAccountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions\n\nUtilize programming languages like Java, Python or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services\n\nBe a role model and mentor, helping to coach and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community. Influence and educate executives\n\nConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams\n\nAnalyze cost and forecast, incorporating them into business plans\n\nDetermine and support resource requirements, evaluate operational processes, measure outcomes to ensure desired results, and demonstrate adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning\n\nQualifications\nExemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap\n\nExperience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production\n\nTrack-record of publications history in credible conferences and journals\n\nExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code\n\nIn-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms\n\nExperience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches\n\nAbility to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment\n\nKnowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)\n\nFluency and Specialization with at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python or C# including object-oriented design\n\nExperience with Micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs\n\nExperience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems\n\nFluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational Framework\n\nExperience in leveraging PowerShell scripting\n\nExperience in existing Operational Portals such as Azure Portal\n\nExperience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments\n\nIn depth knowledge of Datacenter structure, capabilities and offerings, including the Azure platform, and its native services including the Azure platform and its native services\n\nExperience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth\n\nExperience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.)\n\nExperience\n10+ years of professional software development experience within a Java framework (Spring)\n\n8+ years of experience with architecture and design\n\n6+ years of experience in open-source frameworks\n\n4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service\n\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience\n\nAnnual Salary\n$130,000.00 - $260,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
