This role combines strong people leadership with technical expertise and requires a leader who can set priorities, develop talent, oversee high-quality analytics delivery, and partner effectively with investigative, compliance, claims, and technology stakeholders.\nThis position is ideal for a leader who can coach and mentor analysts, influence decision-making at multiple levels, and ensure analytical solutions are accurate, timely, and actionable within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of analytics associates. \nManage performance, workload distribution, and career development. \nFoster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture. \nProvide guidance and support to help associates strengthen technical and communication skills. \nAnalytics Delivery & Execution\nOversee the end-to-end delivery of analytics work, from intake and prioritization through quality review and completion. \nEnsure analytical deliverables meet standards for accuracy, reliability, and business impact. \nGuide development of: Reporting and dashboards Enterprise data analysis Ad hoc analytical support for investigations \nReview analytical approaches, challenge assumptions, and help resolve complex problems. \nBusiness Partnership & Stakeholder Management\nPartner with SIU and fraud leadership to align analytics initiatives with investigative priorities and business objectives. \nCollaborate with Claims, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams on: System releases Training initiatives Issue resolution Continuous improvement efforts \nCommunicate effectively with leaders and stakeholders across the organization. \nGovernance, Risk & Quality\nEstablish and maintain standards for: Documentation Testing and validation Quality assurance Responsible use of data \nIdentify operational, data, and security risks and drive appropriate mitigation strategies. \nEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. \nRequired Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. \nPrior supervisory or people leadership experience required. \nAbility to learn and apply complex technical and procedural information. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. \nLeadership Skills\nProven success leading analytical or technical teams. \nStrong coaching and mentoring capabilities. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to build alignment among diverse stakeholders and constructively resolve conflicts. \nStrong organizational and decision-making abilities. \nTechnical & Industry Knowledge\nKnowledge of insurance fraud investigations, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) operations, compliance analytics, or a related field. \nExperience working with one or more of the following tools and technologies: SQL Cloud data platforms (Snowflake or similar) Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools Python or similar programming languages Data pipelines and ETL processes Git or other version-control systems \nAbility to review technical work and provide strategic direction without excessive oversight. \nExperience supporting production analytics environments is preferred. \nProfessional Skills\nAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion. \nStrong partnership skills with operations leaders, investigators, and analytics or engineering teams. \nEffective telephone and written communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications\nLeadership experience in: Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Fraud analytics Insurance claims investigations \nExperience leading teams responsible for both recurring reporting and ad hoc analytics. \nFamiliarity with structured intake, prioritization, and project tracking processes within a cross-functional organization. \nExperience supporting production analytics environments, including: Defect resolution Stakeholder sign-off processes Solution deployment and rollout \nPreferred Locations\nGetzville, NY \nBuffalo, NY \nFredericksburg, VA \nRemote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates.\nWhy GEICO?\nJoin a team where analytics plays a critical role in protecting customers and the business through fraud detection and prevention.
