Communicates test plans, quality status, risks, defects, and issues to higher management levels while ensuring adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.Job Duties:\nEstablishes and enforces quality assurance standards, testing methodologies, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.\nOversees test planning, test execution, defect management, and release validation activities, ensuring appropriate test coverage, risk mitigation, and compliance with business and regulatory requirements.\nDevelops, monitors, and reports quality metrics and KPIs, including test execution progress, defect trends, automation effectiveness, and release readiness, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the QA function.\nAssumes primary responsibility for the application administration team regarding job performance.\nAssists with the budget process regarding system, utility, and application software strategy.\nInvestigates, reviews, and recommends new software tools, application platforms, monitoring, and performance enhancement tools and creates a detailed roadmap for the application of those tools.\nAssesses the need for, facilitates the acquisition of, and maintains an inventory of applications, software, and related tools and processes that assist in performing application management including automation.\nEnsures there is an effective system performance problem reporting process that is being followed Performs application administration activities in addition to overseeing team work activities.\nEnsures the efficient and effective use of application administration activities through the development and monitoring of KPIs.\nReports status and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.\nDevelops training and mentoring activities for the application administration team to develop relevant skills and competencies.\nIdentifies the need for and develops necessary training for other IT and business areas to understand the overall process and their roles in application administration efforts.\nActs as a project leader and a subject matter expert on multiple and complex projects.\nProvides oversight into all activities of the team.\nResponsible for all human resource activities for the team, including hiring, performance management, contributing to increase and promotion recommendations, career development, corrective action, and recommendations for termination.\nWork is typically performed in an office environment.
