The intern works as an extension of the pharmacist, performing duties related to patient, provider, and customer care under the supervision of a pharmacist. The intern has responsibility with care activities which may include (but not limited to) sterile product preparation, clinical interactions with patients and the care team, and performance of a majority of pharmacy technical operations.Job Duties:\nPerforms the job duties of a pharmacy technician I as needed\nCoordinate with the pharmacist to provide timely, efficient, cost effective, and appropriate pharmaceutical care to the patient while avoiding duplication and waste.\nProvide patient/provider/customer care\nUse the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care\nParticipate in patient/provider/customer care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacist\nPrepare and label medications appropriately for distribution.\nRetrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.\nMaintain pharmacy records.\nPerform housekeeping duties in the pharmacy in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.\nParticipate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.\nComplete additional projects or activities as assigned by their manager.\nWork is typically performed in a clinical environment.
