This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico. This position has been approved for work in a remote capacity with an annual trip to N3B.\nResponsibilities\nServe as a project controls resource for internal and external stakeholders.\n\nSupport Control Account Managers (CAMs), Project Managers (PMs), and field project controls staff through data analysis, specialized reporting, estimate-to-complete (ETC) development, variance analysis, reporting, risk, identification and analysis and quality reviews of contract-required reports.\n\nAssist with project scoping for engineering, construction, remediation, and contractual requirements.\n\nDevelop, maintain, and control integrated master schedules (IMS), ensuring horizontal and vertical integration across functional groups.\n\nMonitor and maintain resource-loaded schedules to ensure EVMS compliance.\n\nEvaluate schedule logic, activity durations, resource loading, and critical path to support earned value analysis and status reporting.\n\nPrepare, review, and control project budgets, forecasts, and life-cycle cost estimates.\n\nPrepare and present project controls reports and analyses to senior management, including project cost and schedule performance.\n\nSupport cost estimating, cost engineering, material take-offs, and cost analysis in support of project execution, bids, change proposals, and REAs.\n\nSupport baseline change proposals, contract change order estimates, and supporting documentation.\n\nEnsure adherence to EVMS processing calendars and required review cycles.\n\nSupport Baseline Configuration Management processes and participate in Internal Change Control Board (ICCB) and DOE change control meetings.\n\nReview change requests for completeness, assess impacts, and conduct post-implementation reviews.\n\nRequirements\nEducation & Years of Experience - Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.\n\nCitizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.\n\nClearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.\n\nThis position REQUIRES direct experience working on a DOE EM FAR-based Tier 1 level contract or other DOE experiencewithin the past 24 months with:\nProven experience in project planning and scheduling.\n\nProficiency in using scheduling tools, particularly Primavera P6.\n\nStrong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nFamiliarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.\n\nAbout the Site\nN3B manages the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management’s Los Alamos Field Office, which is responsible for cleaning up contamination that resulted from LANL operations before 1999 and packaging and shipping radioactive and hazardous waste off-site for permanent disposal (n3b-la.com).\nABOUT GEM\nGEM Technologies, Inc.
