This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and/or review work packages including time, material, and labor estimates.\n\nPrepare written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, or safety and post-maintenance testing requirements.\n\nImplement and control operations, maintenance, construction, or modification of work activities within assigned facilities or areas.\n\nResolve work restraints and bring work packages to final closure.\n\nDevelop, monitor, and validate accuracy of performance data, reports, and other statistical information.\n\nMaintain databases and programs required for developing performance measurements and data administration.\n\nEvaluate processes, programs, and procedures for potential improvements.\n\nDevelop and maintain maintenance policies, processes, procedures, and provide training in support of maintenance programs.\n\nMentor and provide training to less experienced work control personnel.\n\nPrepare and present work control reports.\n\nRequirements\nEducation & Years of Experience - Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\nCitizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.\n\nClearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.\n\nExtensive experience interpreting mechanical and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.\n\nExtensive knowledge of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting work control and planning.\n\nExtensive understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configurations, and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures in unique or complex facilities.\n\nUnique knowledge and experience with work control, materials management, and/or mechanical maintenance.\n\nDemonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions for work control and planning problems.\n\nAbility to conceptualize and communicate major elements of work control and planning to both technical and non-technical personnel.\n\nAbility to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system for tracking work planning activities.\n\nDesired Skills\nExperience related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures.\n\nExceptional skill in preparation and presentation of work control reports.\n\nAbility to provide mentorship and training to less experienced personnel.\n\nAbout the Site\nThe NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons.
