You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team of Engineers and Scientists focused on Geotechnical, Hydrogeological, Environmental, and Materials related projects. \nKey Responsibilities: \nServe as the main point of contact for key clients on portfolios of large, interdisciplinary projects.\nExecute on geotechnical aspects of a variety of projects including writing proposals, field work, data analysis, preparing geotechnical design recommendations and writing geotechnical reports; \nActively collaborate with Branch Managers on business planning and market strategy.\nPerform project management functions, including proposal preparation, budget estimation, scheduling, scope management, project summary report preparation, maintaining quality throughout the project, and implementing improvements.\nCollaborate with junior and intermediate staff to complete geotechnical analysis and reporting.\nProvide senior technical review on discipline related elements of projects ensuring technical excellence aligns with client needs.\nMentor, train and supervise junior and intermediate staff.\nWork with engineers and scientists across various disciplines to design and implement innovative and cost effective solutions;\nClient management and consultation as required to manage projects and develop a client base; \nQualifications: \nMinimum of a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (Geological Engineering program may be suitable) from a recognized university. \n12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience. \nExcellent writing and verbal communication skills (English), strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time in order to deliver quality work on time and on budget. Preference will be given to candidates with Ministry of Transportation foundation engineering project experience. \nSignificant experience in geotechnical analysis, reporting, evaluations, and inspections.\nExperience with geotechnical software applications such as Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, Slide, Settle3D, FLAC, or similar. \nRegistered Professional Engineer in Ontario. \nBe motivated to provide excellent client service and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment. \nMust have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.\nWhy GEMTEC?\nFull time permanent salaried position \nSalary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 per year\nYear end profit sharing bonus\nHealth and dental benefits\nRRSP program, up to 5% employer match\nPaid time off (4 weeks of paid vacation and 2 weeks of paid sick days per year)\nOffice year-end closure (paid time off between Christmas and New Years)\nWork/life balance including a 37.5 hour work week\nFuture potential to become a shareholder\nOpportunities to be involved in a wide variety of technically challenging projects across multiple industries as our office grows\nIn alignment with Ontario's Employment Standards Act and pay?transparency requirements, GEMTEC includes the expected compensation range in publicly advertised job postings for roles based in Ontario.
