Gen Digital Inc. is a global cybersecurity, online privacy, and consumer technology leader. Dual-headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, and Prague, Czech Republic, the publicly traded company (NASDAQ: GEN) was formed through the 2022 merger of NortonLifeLock and Avast (and was previously known as Symantec Corporation).

About Gen

Gen is a global company dedicated to powering Digital Freedom through its trusted consumer brands including Norton, Avast, LifeLock, MoneyLion and more. Our combined heritage is rooted in financial empowerment and cyber safety for the first digital generations, and today we deliver award-winning cybersecurity, online privacy, identity protection and financial wellness solutions to nearly 500 million users in more than 150 countries.

Together, we share a collective passion and vision to protect consumers and help them grow, manage and secure their digital and financial lives. We're always looking for smart, fearless and high-impact talent who see AI as a teammate - leveraging it to move faster and deliver meaningful results.

When you're part of Gen, you'll have the flexibility, tools and support to do your best work and grow your career - from flexible working options and time off to competitive pay, benefits and well-being programs.

At Gen, we are scrappy and relentlessly customer driven. We create room for healthy debate, experimentation and continuous learning, and we seek out people with different experiences, identities and ideas to join our team. You'll work with people who back each other, respect each other and understand that our differences are a competitive advantage.

If this sounds like you, we'd love you to be part of Gen.

About our Partner Team

The Partner team at Gen is one of the company's most strategic growth engines - and the platform we build is what makes it all possible.

We partner with global carriers, financial institutions, retailers, and employee benefits platforms to bring Gen's award-winning cyber safety, identity protection, and financial wellness solutions directly to their customers - embedded within partner experiences through co-branded and white-labeled integrations. This B2B2C model reaches millions of additional consumers worldwide and generates significant revenue at scale.

We don't just manage partner relationships - we co-create go-to-market strategies with our most strategic partners and build the technical platform infrastructure that turns those strategies into shipped, scalable product. The Partner team owns many delivery methods including but not limited to APIs, SDKs, and Identity & Access Management capabilities that determine how fast we grow and how seamlessly partners integrate Gen's solutions into their own experiences.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Gen's partner-facing APIs and SDKs - the technical integration layer that determines how quickly and seamlessly our global partner ecosystem can embed Gen's cyber safety, identity, and financial wellness products into their own experiences.

This is a technical individual contributor role. You'll define what great looks like for partners integrating with Gen - from API design standards and SDK architecture to authentication flows and developer onboarding - and you'll drive the roadmap that makes it real. The scope of your work directly shapes how fast the partner channel grows, how reliably partners can deliver Gen's products to their end users, and how strong the developer experience is for the technical teams on the other side of our integrations.

The right candidate has built API and SDK products at scale. You know the difference between an API that works and one that developers love. You've defined SDK patterns across multiple platforms and languages. You understand IAM as a product surface - not just a security requirement - and you can hold your own in architecture conversations with senior engineers while simultaneously translating technical trade-offs into business impact for executive stakeholders.

What You'll Own

API Design & Standards Own the design, versioning, and quality bar for Gen's partner-facing APIs. Define and enforce API standards - consistency, error handling, backwards compatibility, rate limiting, and lifecycle management - so partners can build on a foundation they can trust. Collaborate closely with engineering on API architecture, balancing developer ergonomics with system constraints.

SDK Ownership Drive the strategy, roadmap, and quality of Gen's SDKs across platforms and languages. You'll define what the SDK surface should look like for partners integrating on iOS, Android, and web - ensuring the abstractions we expose are intuitive, well-documented, and genuinely reduce integration friction. You understand the trade-offs between a thin wrapper and a richer SDK, and you can make the call.

Developer & Partner Integration Experience Own the end-to-end experience for a partner's technical team from first contact to live deployment. This means obsessing over time-to-first-integration, the quality of our API reference documentation, sandbox environments, error messaging, and the feedback loops that surface where partners get stuck. You'll define what "easy to integrate" means for Gen and drive it into every release.

Identity & Access Management

Drive the product strategy for Identity & Access Management (IAM) across partner integrations - authentication, authorization, SSO, token management, and user lifecycle flows. You'll treat IAM as a first-class product surface: something that shapes user trust, conversion, and the end-consumer experience - not just a security checkbox.

Roadmap Ownership & Prioritization Define, prioritize, and deliver a technical roadmap that balances near-term partner integration commitments with long-term API scalability and architectural integrity. You'll navigate competing partner demands confidently, making principled trade-off decisions across a fast-moving global portfolio.

Partner Technical Engagement Work directly with partners' engineering and product teams to understand their integration environments, technical constraints, and user journey requirements. Translate that context into clear, actionable API/SDK requirements - and feed patterns from the field back into the platform roadmap.

Cross-Functional Execution Serve as the connective tissue between Partner, Sales, Engineering, and Product teams across time zones - aligning on priorities, resolving trade-offs, and driving delivery without direct authority. You're the person who makes things move.

What You'll Bring

  • 6-8 years of product management experience, with at least 3-5 years owning API and/or SDK products - including API design, versioning strategy, SDK architecture, and developer experience - in a B2B or B2B2C context.

  • A proven track record of shipping developer-facing APIs and SDKs with measurable adoption; experience at API-first companies strongly valued.

  • Hands-on fluency with REST API design, multi-platform SDK development (iOS, Android, web), OAuth/OIDC/SSO, and IAM patterns - you can review API specs, challenge technical decisions, and write meaningful PRDs at the integration layer.

  • Experience working with large strategic or white-label partners - telcos, financial institutions, retailers, or enterprise channel partners - and firsthand understanding of the complexity of co-branded, embedded product delivery.

  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, identity, fintech, or SaaS strongly preferred.

  • Strong ability to translate technical trade-offs into business impact - you understand how API design decisions affect partner time-to-market, integration reliability, and channel revenue.

  • Exceptional communication skills - equally fluent presenting an API architecture decision to senior engineers and explaining integration trade-offs to executive partner stakeholders.

  • Data-driven by nature: you define integration success metrics before you build, and use API telemetry and partner feedback to continuously prioritize and improve.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in your product workflow - from requirements and documentation to API spec generation and integration testing.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience required.
