You’ll work with people who back each other, respect each other and understand that our differences are a competitive advantage.\nIf this sounds like you, we’d love you to be part of Gen.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll lead technical solutioning for complex partner engagements, working closely with Sales, Partner Success, Product and Engineering to turn partner needs into clear, practical solutions. You’ll bring strong technical judgment and consultative skill to important opportunities, contribute to solution approaches for emerging verticals, and help improve the tools and practices the Solutions Engineering team uses. You’ll lead discovery, design and demonstrations for challenging use cases, share partner insights with Product, and help peers strengthen their technical and partner-facing work. As a senior client-facing member of our commercial organization, you’ll help accelerate adoption of our embedded marketplace infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead technical solutioning for complex partner engagements, coordinating with internal teams and following through on agreed commitments.\n\nContribute to solution narratives and architectural approaches for new verticals and emerging use cases, adapting established patterns and identifying where new approaches may be needed.\n\nHelp improve scoping practices, engagement models, templates and other reusable materials in partnership with the Solutions Engineering team.\n\nTravel with Sales and Partner Solutions for important prospect and partner meetings, bringing hands-on technical expertise and sound judgment to in-person discussions.\n\nLead discovery and solution design for strategic opportunities, working with team leadership to balance priorities across engagements.\n\nDesign and personally demonstrate complex solutions, tailoring the discussion to partner needs and going beyond standard product walkthroughs where appropriate.\n\nShare technical and consultative best practices with Solutions Engineering peers and help maintain a high bar for partner communication.\n\nCreate and maintain useful internal and external documentation, including implementation guidance and best-practice materials.\n\nCapture partner feedback and communicate its context and impact to Product, helping inform roadmap discussions and prioritization.\n\nBuild alignment among partners, Sales, Partner Solutions and Product on solution direction for complex or ambiguous engagements; raise key tradeoffs and risks to the appropriate stakeholders.\n\nRepresent the Engine’s technical capabilities with partner and internal stakeholders, and participate in industry events as appropriate.\n\nIdentify potential expansion opportunities and delivery risks across assigned engagements, and share recommendations on where Solutions Engineering support can have the greatest impact.\n\nAbout You\n5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account management or a similar role. Experience in FinTech or enterprise technology is preferred.\n\nA track record of leading complex partner or customer engagements, including situations where requirements are evolving or not fully defined.\n\nExperience shaping solution approaches for new verticals or emerging use cases, while knowing when to build on established integration patterns.\n\nExperience mentoring peers or sharing practices that improve the work of other technical or pre-sales professionals.\n\nAbility to travel regularly for in-person partner visits, including important engagements that benefit from senior technical representation.\n\nProficiency translating technical concepts for technical and executive audiences, including in ambiguous or unscoped situations.\n\nExperience contributing to scoping frameworks, playbooks or engagement models that make team delivery more consistent and scalable.\n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with senior client and internal stakeholders.\n\nSound judgment about when to involve technical resources to resolve partner blockers and accelerate time to activation.\n\nDetail-oriented problem solver who is comfortable working through ambiguity and collaborating across teams.\n\nWhat’s next\nRecruiter Phone Screen\n\nHiring Manager Interview\n\nCross-functional Interviews\n\nTechnical Interview\n\nGen is an equal opportunity employer, and we’re committed to fair, inclusive practices at every stage of the candidate and employee journey.
