About the Role

Gen's AI Foundry is where our next generation of consumer AI products gets built. It is a small, fast moving team that takes ideas from zero to one, ships them to real customers, and then decides what to double down on. Recent work includes Norton Family Assistant, our secure 24/7 AI agent that helps parents manage the logistics of modern family life, and the Agent Trust Layer, the security foundation that makes it safe for an agent to act on someone's behalf. Several more consumer agentic products are in flight or about to start.

As a Member of AI & Innovation, Design, you'll be the design partner for that portfolio. You'll own end to end product design across multiple zero to one initiatives at once, moving between shipped products that need iteration and brand new concepts that need a first shape. Some of these products will scale. Some will be killed after a few weeks of learning. Both outcomes are the job.

You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing to define what consumer AI agents feel like at Gen, and the patterns you create for one product become the starting point for the next.

Key Responsibilities

· Own end to end product design for multiple zero to one initiatives across the AI Foundry portfolio, from concept through launch and iteration, and set the priorities across them alongside your product partners.

· Design core AI agent experiences, including conversational flows, in app messaging, onboarding, and the trust and permission moments where an agent takes action on a user's behalf.

· Build and evolve a shared design language for Gen's agentic products, so patterns proven on one product carry forward rather than getting rebuilt each time.

· Move quickly from ambiguity to something testable, using low fidelity concepts, prototypes, and live product experiments to pressure test ideas before they are fully built.

· Partner closely with product management, engineering, and the wider AI Foundry team to translate product requirements into polished, production ready designs.

· Collaborate with marketing, CSM, and CX partners on go to market design deliverables such as in product messaging, store placements, email, and onboarding for launches across the portfolio.

· Leverage AI assisted design tools such as Figma Make, generative prototyping, and Claude Design to accelerate design velocity and iterate quickly on flows and prototypes.

· Maintain consistency with Gen's Oxygen design system while adapting and extending patterns for novel agentic and AI first interactions.

· Conduct or partner on user research and usability testing to validate design decisions across different consumer audiences, including families.

· Present design work and rationale to cross functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback into iterative design cycles.

About You

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in product/UX design, ideally including designing consumer-facing mobile or web applications; experience designing AI-powered, conversational, or agentic product experiences is a strong plus.

Skills:

· Strong end-to-end product design skills (UX flows, interaction design, visual design) with a portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer products.

· Proficiency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools, including AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma Make).

· Experience designing trust, permissions, or “AI taking action on your behalf” moments for users.

· Ability to work within and evolve a mature design system (e.g., Oxygen) across multiple surfaces.

· Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with limited design support, prioritizing effectively across concurrent initiatives.

· Strong collaboration and communication skills across product, engineering, and marketing partners.

· Self starter who can independently own a product's design, given this role is the embedded designer across the portfolio rather than one product.

· Passion for building trustworthy, human centered AI experiences for everyday consumers.

· Comfortable with new, undefined work, and with the reality that some of it will not ship.

· Curious and adaptable, eager to experiment with emerging AI design tools and workflows.
