Ensure vendors provide complete maintenance documentation upon work completion.\n\nReview and process external vendor calibration, PM, and repair documentation per established procedures.\n\nAssist with identification and purchase of spare parts.\n\nMay support utilities in a cGMP/cGXP environment, while minimizing instrumentation and equipment downtime.\n\nAbility to interact and communicate appropriately with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, Engineering, and other departments to ensure satisfactory performance of instruments and systems.\n\nRepresent Instrumentation on multidisciplinary project teams and make presentations as required.\n\nAssistance with systems start-up and validation.\n\nLead and train peer craftspeople in skills necessary to become proficient. Assist management in task / personnel coordination.\n\nAttend factory training for equipment to be supported, maintained, or calibrated.\n\nProvide expertise in the creation or modification of technical documents.\n\nOther tasks as assigned by Instrument Services management.\n\nTraining Requirements :\nAttend cGMP training as required by Department policy. \nAttend Safety training as required by Department policy. \nComplete on-the-job training using established training procedures. \nWho you are?\nMinimum qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED and one of the following:\n\nCompletion of an Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering (2-year) curriculum at a technical school with three years’ experience as an instrument or electronics technician. \nAA/AS Degree in a related science or engineering major with three years’ experience as an instrument or electronics technician. \nCompletion of equivalent military training with three years’ experience as an instrument or electronics technician. \nFive years in instrumentation and/or analytical instrumentation or a closely related job. \nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering documents, and schematics.\n\nAbility to build and repair equipment.\n\nAbility to navigate and use corporate intranet, applications, software, standard word processing, and spreadsheet programs.\n\nHighly skilled in one trade discipline; knowledge and application of three others.\n\nThorough knowledge of the fundamental electrical, mechanical, physical, and operating principles of process instrumentation and systems.\n\nGeneral knowledge of cGMP and GLP practices.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMust be customer service oriented with good oral and written communication skills.\n\nMust be organized and dependable.\n\nMust have good attention to details and problem-solving skills.\n\nMust be proficient in coordinating tasks.\n\nWork Environment/Physical Demands/ Safety Considerations:\nAbility to move from one service call to the next.\n\nAbility to work with minimum or no supervision.\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\nJob Hazards:\nWorking with/around various chemicals (e.g., acids and bases), solvents, pressurized systems, compressed gases, and biological materials (Recombinant DNA).\n\nWork in environments that may include low, medium, or high voltages.\n\nMay work at elevated heights.\n\nWork with energized systems and working in close proximity to moving equipment.\n\nRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.\nPay transparency\nThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $76,900.00- $142,700.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
