To support this growth, purchasing responsibilities are being expanded to a team of buyers. The Buyer II - Fabrication will be responsible for direct material procurement, supplier management, inventory replenishment programs, and outside vended services to help ensure continuity of supply and support Eagle's expanding manufacturing operations.\nResponsibilities:\nProcure direct materials to support fabrication and manufacturing operations.\nManage purchase orders, supplier schedules, and MRP-generated requirements.\nMonitor supplier delivery performance and resolve material shortages or supply disruptions.\nCollaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to support production requirements.\nManage and optimize Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and visual inventory replenishment programs.\nCoordinate and oversee outside vended services such as painting, plating, heat treating, machining, fabrication, and testing services.\nAnalyze inventory, supplier performance, demand trends, and lead times to drive continuous improvement.\nSupport supplier sourcing, negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and performance management.\nDevelop and maintain supplier performance metrics, including OTD, OTIF, inventory health, and lead-time performance.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.\n3-5 years of experience in direct material procurement within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience working with ERP/MRP systems.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nTechnical Qualifications:\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Power BI.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.\nAbility to interpret and analyze large datasets and communicate actionable insights.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting fabrication or manufacturing operations.\nExperience managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.\nExperience with outside processing or outsourced manufacturing services.\nAPICS, ASCM, CPSM, CPM, or similar supply chain certification preferred.\nSuccess Measures:\nMaterial availability and production support.\nInventory optimization and inventory turn improvements.\nSupplier OTD and OTIF performance.\nReduction of shortages, premium freight, and supply disruptions.\nCost savings and supplier performance improvements.\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
