This will be achieved through the combination of strategic roadmap development, process development, standards / best practice deployment, and innovation that increases utilization and delivers asset and operations optimization with the target of creating world class facilities that integrate the latest-gen systems through a holistic approach to business operations, using a high level of technology throughout every step of a facility’s value chain. In addition, this team will be partner with the other pillars in the Advanced Manufacturing Team as SME to provide the best overall solutions our manufacturing portfolio. This role will cover the global manufacturing portfolio for Generac.\nMajor Responsibilities\nStrategy Development & Deployment / Process Improvement\nDrive an Operations Strategic Footprint Roadmap development process that aligns with business long range planning;\nEnsure each manufacturing facility has a 5-year roadmap developed that aligns with all other operational disciplines to achieve the best leverage of the asset and systems within;\nDevelop and implement operating methodologies and procedures designed to maximize floor space utilization, asset uptime and utilization, eliminate waste, and operation cost reductions;\nResearch and evaluate new technologies and breakthrough processes to accelerate competitive advantages while meeting business requirements;\nLead operational strategy and execution by aligning daily activities with company goals, improving productivity, and managing operational budgets.\nOversee Adv. Mfg. Manufacturing Strategy Team, including project planning, technical guidance, resource allocation, and compliance with safety and quality standards.\nCollaborate with BU partners and lead the development of 3-5 year roadmaps for our end to end supply chain footprint to ensure capabilities and capacity are aligned with demand, and cost structures support the product profitability targets.\nDevelop and lead the Operations Product Transfer Steering Committee to ensure alignment with product transfers and adherence to the procedure.\nCoordinate cross-functional collaboration with HR, finance, engineering teams, and senior leadership to support organizational priorities.\nOversee capital projects as appropriate and provide budgetary figures for future fiscal year planning.\nIncorporate sustainability and workplace optimization initiatives, including energy efficiency, space planning, and long-term facility planning.\nMonitor KPIs and operational performance, using data to evaluate productivity, engineering output, and facility efficiency.\nRecruit, mentor, and develop project management and / or engineering resources to execute project plans.\nSupport the reduction of the operating cost of each facility consistent with company objectives.\nLead, coordinate and/or support the introduction of new/revised processes and technology that support cost reduction initiatives.\nProject Management\nOwn development of 3-5 year end to end supply chain strategy, providing direction, guidance, and project management and engineering expertise to team members.\nFacilitate project flow involving regular contact with engineering, manufacturing and other cross functional teams;\nDrive and project manage major strategic cost, quality, and delivery initiatives with aggressive focus on breakthrough process and technology improvements to achieve substantial competitive advantage.\nManagement\nProvide guidance to cross-functional teams and leadership on key strategic decisions related to continued investment in core technologies and systems that enable a competitive advantage in the marketplace.\nSelect, coach and develop a team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team. Manage organizational talent through performance management, succession planning and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered and performance is systematically improved.\nMinimum Job Requirements\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline;\nCertification / License\nWork Experience\n10 years’ related experience in Operations Engineering and Production, experience in developing global end-to-end supply chain strategies (including new capacity, rebalancing, and product transfers)\n5 years of increasing responsibility for project and / or people management involving a broad range of operational technologies and processes\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nKnowledge of Operations Engineering and End to End Supply Chain principles;\nAbility to manage strategic and tactical issues by being hands-on;\nAbility to assess and manage end-to-end processes;\nAbility to assess facilities / infrastructure systems / technology against best-in-class capability;\nAbility to attract, develop, and manage an impactful team;\nKnowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) and ERP Platform usage;\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects with shifting priorities and moving deadlines.\nProficient in a CAD platform\nPreferred Job Requirements\nEducation\nMaster’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering\nWork Experience\nExtensive experience in the development and implementation of end to end supply chain strategies to support the processes for manufacturing products related to safety, manufacturing, material handling, and product functional testing;\nExperience in deployment of processes at an enterprise level -
