This role provides electrical system engineering expertise to battery energy storage systems (BESS) product development projects by interfacing with the cross functional team including Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and Sourcing.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDesign, validate, and contribute to new energy storage system product design and development through electrical component integration and system operation\nApply power and control integration knowledge to create design documentation\nCreate high level electrical drawings and model designs, then collaborate with others to complete detailed drawings utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) such as AutoCAD or Creo\nContribute to design reviews\nEvaluate BESS design overall effectiveness, including cost/benefit analysis, reliability/risk analysis, and functional safety\nDefine system test plans\nOperate units onsite via our microgrid test center, to test & validate units prior to shipment\nTranslates technical information to varied audiences through written communication and presentation skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProduct design experience in electrical systems integration and manufacturing support\nHands on involvement with troubleshooting, testing, and validating AC/DC electrical systems\nExperience with CAD software\nPassion for cleantech, battery energy storage, microgrids, distributed energy resources\nExperience with controls and control panels is an asset -
