Success requires strong project leadership, collaboration, and the ability to keep complex initiatives moving forward from planning through execution.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nLead cross-functional new product development projects from concept through launch.\n\nDrive project execution to achieve schedule, cost, quality, and scope objectives.\n\nPartner with Engineering and Product Management to deliver innovative products and solutions.\n\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks while leading contingency planning efforts.\n\nOptimize product and lifecycle costs through strategic decision-making and collaboration.\n\nInfluence key business decisions, including sourcing, make-vs.-buy strategies, logistics, and supplier selection.\n\nChampion continuous improvement initiatives within Generac’s product development and NPI processes.\n\nCapture and share lessons learned and best practices to strengthen future project success.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience\n\n5 years of progressive work experience in engineering, project engineering, brand/product management, or new product development related roles.\n\n3 years of project management experience leading cross-functional, international project teams.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nDemonstrated ability to deliver results while working simultaneously on multiple projects; balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes\n\nLead and participate in the transformation from product requirements into a product design and realization plan to meet or exceed the product and business goals\n\nAbility to influence people and teams who are not all direct reports\n\nDemonstrated team building and leadership skills\n\nSolid understanding of engineering technical issues/needs, manufacturing, supply chain, service, customer service, financial, sales, and marketing as related to product design and development\n\nDemonstrated communication skills\n\nSelf-driven, highly motivated, flexible and high capacity to learn\n\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
