Conducts continuous improvement activities to reduce the potential for product defects. Involved with problem identification, containment activities, action plan development and execution. Ensure that the test requirements for product testing and processes are defined and met.\nThe schedule for this position is Friday through Sunday from 7am to 3:30pm.\nResponsibilities:\nSetup test equipment and products in proper sequence per testing procedures\nPerform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for stated criteria involving mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions through ISO 17025 and Laboratory Scope of Operations\nUse various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devices\nAccurately interpret and document scientific notation, temperature, pressure, and other measurements\nAssists in the assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products per blueprint specifications\nFollow guidelines for bill of materials\nSupport manufacturing through troubleshooting activities\nMaintain test-related documentation in, and support administration of, database environment\nPrepare formal and informal test reports\nAssist with the Generac Engineering Laboratory Audit and organization 5S programs\nRequirements:\nHigh School Diploma \n3 Months Relevant Work Experience \n Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
