This role will be responsible for responding with a sense of urgency to customer inquiries, executing inspection plans, quarantine and disposition of product.\nMajor Responsibilities\nPromote a continuous improvement environment by providing leadership and direction for facility teams\nGuide Generac cross functional personnel within the framework of Corporate Quality Standards and objectives\nLead the resolution of warranty and quality issues\nAnalyze component failure rates and provide Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Engineering with feedback\nAnalyze data, identify trends and facilitate cross functional A3 improvement projects \nDirect the overall execution of internal product audits and nonconformance resolution.\nLead problem solving at the manufacturing site\nSupport New Product Introduction and manage the qualification of manufacturing through the APQP process\nConduct and manage audits/assessments of processes and quality systems (ISO, internal audit, etc)\nGather and analyze product data and use the data to lead improvement initiatives to reduce the potential for defects\nProvide direction and assistance to the Quality & Manufacturing team at Generac manufacturing sites for prioritizing actions and tasks of quality initiatives\nEnsure test inspection integrity (MSA/ GR&R)\nAct as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned\nCreate and deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies and standards\nMinimum Job Requirements\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering\nWork Experience\n5 years’ experience working in Quality in a manufacturing environment utilizing APQP (Control plan & PFEMA)\nExperience using continuous improvement tool set\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nKnowledge of APQP, PPAP procedures, and ISO\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills\nAbility to lead, collaborate and work with teams to drive improvements\nAbility to successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment\nKnowledge of the application and interpretation of manufacturing quality metrics\nAbility to use Microsoft Office Suite and SAP business systems\nKnowledge of Lean principles & improvements\nAbility to implement lean principles and improvements\nAbility to analyze component failure rates and provide Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Engineering with feedback\nAbility to analyze data, identify trends and facilitate cross functional A3 improvement projects\nPreferred Job Requirements\nCertification / License\nCertified Quality Engineer or Technician\nCertified Six Sigma Green Belt\nCertified Quality Auditor\nWork Experience\nPrevious Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP\nQMS & Auditing Experience\nPower-Bi experience\nCustomer facing experience\nExperience with new product design and development and product lifecycle\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nAbility to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy on multiple projects\nAbility to translate technical information to all audiences\nGenerac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Belvidere, IL is $91,300 - $136,900 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location.
