In partnership with internal business units, this role ensures the precision and inspection of parts moving into the facility. This role supports Quality Management Systems, drives data collection, reporting and analysis. Partners with leaders in the daily operation of an area with responsibility to improve quality systems, processes, and performance.\nResponsibilities (All Levels)\nLead problem solving for quality issues.\n\nImplement resolutions from basic to complex problems.\n\nImplement process improvements.\n\nLead team adherence to Quality Control Plans and mistake proofing.\n\nConduct process and product audits.\n\nConduct standardized problem-solving and corrective actions.\n\nSupport gage/tool calibration and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R).\n\nParticipate in MRB review and corrective actions.\n\nAdhere to company policies and state/federal regulations.\n\nRequirements\nQuality Technician I\nEducation: High School diploma or equivalent\n\nExperience: 0-3 years in quality\n\nProblem Solving: Basic\n\nLeadership: Supports team communication and metrics\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Basic drawing, wiring, schematic interpretation; intermediate PC skills\n\nQuality Technician II\nEducation: Associate’s degree or equivalent\n\nExperience: 3+ years in quality\n\nProblem Solving: Moderate\n\nLeadership: Leads team communication on quality metrics and project countermeasures; ability to train others\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans, mistake proofing, NMR, ECR, SPC, ISO processes; CMM programming knowledge\n\nQuality Technician III\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree preferred\n\nExperience: 5+ years in quality or Certified Quality Technician preferred\n\nProblem Solving: Advanced, including cross-functional issues\n\nLeadership: Leads multiple teams or departments; mentors and trains others\n\nTechnical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of all QC tools, ISO systems, and process improvement methodologies; design audits and complex corrective actions\n\nAdditional Skills (All Levels)\nMaintain professional rapport with peers and support groups\n\nCommunicate issues and countermeasures to Supervisor\n\nPerform reading, writing, and math functions\n\nCommitment to continuous learning and quality standards\n\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
