This role will be responsible for responding with a sense of urgency to customer inquiries, executing inspection plans, quarantine and disposition of product\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for customer account for all quality related topics\n\nDrive urgency to customer issues to lead containment and resolution working with cross functional teams and suppliers\n\nPromote a continuous improvement environment by providing leadership and direction to manufacturing, assembly and engineering teams\n\nDevelop processes internally to meet customer requirements\n\nLead resolution of warranty and quality issues\n\nAnalyze component failure rates and provide Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Engineering with feedback\n\nAnalyze data, identify trends and facilitate cross functional A3 improvement projects\n\nDirect the overall execution of internal product audits and nonconformance resolution\n\nSupport New Product Introduction and manage qualification of manufacturing through the APQP process\n\nConduct and manage audits/assessments of processes and quality systems (ISO, internal audit, etc)\n\nGather and analyze product data to lead improvement initiatives to reduce the potential for defects\n\nProvide direction and assistance to the Quality & Manufacturing team at Generac manufacturing sites for prioritizing actions and tasks of quality initiatives\n\nEnsure test inspection integrity (MSA/ GR&R)\n\nCreate and deploy standard Generac tools, methodologies and standards\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering\n\n5 years’ experience working in Quality in a manufacturing environment and managing of large customer\n\nExperience using continuous improvement tool set\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertified Quality Engineer\n\nCertified Six Sigma Green Belt\n\nCertified Quality Auditor\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nKnowledge of APQP, PPAP procedures, and ISO\n\nEffective verbal and written communication skills\n\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to lead, collaborate and work with teams to drive improvements\n\nAbility to successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment\n\nKnowledge of the application and interpretation of manufacturing quality metrics\n\nAbility to use Microsoft Office Suite and SAP business systems\n\nKnowledge of Lean principles & improvements\n\nAbility to implement lean principles and improvements\n\nAbility to analyze component failure rates and provide Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Engineering with feedback\n\nAbility to analyze data, identify trends and facilitate cross functional A3 improvement projects\n\nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
