Responsible for pricing process and will manage or participate in various cross-functional team projects that support Generac’s ongoing corporate strategic initiatives.\nMajor Responsibilities\nExecutes corporate pricing strategy and supporting systems by sales channel (residential/wholesale/retail) and product categories across the organization, its subsidiaries, and international markets.\nProvides analysis and recommendations on viability of proposed pricing actions related to product promotions within all domestic channels of distribution. \nProvides analysis for line reviews within residential/wholesale/retail channels. channels. Ad hoc analysis and reports (e.g., pricing and margin reports) as needed.\nCommunicate both qualitative and quantitative pricing tools and analytics to support the strategy.\nActively monitor customer profitability, product cost structures and product gross margins to ensure pricing policies align with Generac’s profitability goals. Perform proactive data mining, aggregation, and analysis for the identification of price improvement opportunities.\nDevelop and own the corporate pricing goals through creating and leading productive interactions across our different functions and disciplines. Proactively identify and resolve issues around pricing and margins.\nChampion consistency of pricing application - develop, communicate, promote, and measure consistent models and guidelines. Take ownership of process improvements and drive to successful implementation.\nMonitor competitive environment and be prepared to respond to changes based on the market analysis.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to communicate and evaluate cost trends, pricing trends and customer communication. Works closely with a variety of departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, etc.)\nCreate detailed cost analyses for pricing strategic and national/global account projects to maximize success and ensure strategic account pricing and product offerings domestically and internationally; adhere to corporate strategic goals and guidelines.\nProvide input to legal for finalizing contract language around business and pricing terms.\nMinimum Job Requirement s\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent experience\nCertification / License\nWork Experience\n5 years of experience in data analysis, analyzing pricing structures or related field\nKnowledge / Skills / Abilities\nAbility to think, analyze, and report on diverse business segments\nAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, SAP BI, Power-BI and Tableau\nDeep understanding of financial metrics, including profit and loss statements (P&Ls), gross and net margins, operating income; and key performance indicators (KPIs)\nAbility to analyze and interpret financial data to drive strategic decision-making\nAbility to develop detailed profit and loss statements (P&Ls) and perform break-even uplift analysis to assess financial performance and inform strategic decisions\nProficient in extracting and manipulating raw data to transform facts into actionable insights\nthorough understanding of go-to-market strategies, including how rebates and trade discounts can be used to drive sales, promote market penetration, and incentivize customer loyalty\nAble to influence others without direct authority and works effectively with all levels of the organization\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions\nOffice Environment (Includes field sales):\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
