The Service Writer is responsible for working cross-functionally to develop proposals for customers. This person owns the repair proposal process and guides the customer through the best options. Service Writer should follow up on all active proposals.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \n2 years’ experience in customer facing environment \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate degree \n3 - 4 years’ experience in a customer facing environment\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDrive sales in assigned territory through outbound efforts to engage, grow and retain customers \nManages sales process via calls, email, web chats to develop and grow relationships with customers to achieve channel sales goals and program goals \nAssist customers with pricing and availability, order processing and order status \nResolves issues by working with the customer, territory sales team, and/or any pertinent internal departments \nActs as liaison between customers and service operations team \nDelivers sales presentations and product updates to service sales team and senior sales manager \nProviding customers with product details - features, benefits, competitive comparison \nAssisting with the promotion of new product launches \nGuiding customers to utilize tools available to confirm correct product \nContinually driving engagement of our customers to all applicable resources and programs \nReviews resources and business-building tools available for our partners to assist in their success \nPromotes channel programs and benefits of participating in these programs \nInform and educate on promotional opportunities available to customers to enhance relationship and continue to foster and grow sales \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nExcellent written and oral communication skills. \nEffective presentation skills. \nStrong problem-solving skills. \nAbility to work independently. \nAbility to make decisions in the best interest of the customer and the company. \nAbility to multi-task and prioritize activities according to importance and urgency. \nAbility to take initiative and work proactively. \nAbility to react well under pressure. \nAbility to perform and comprehend basic business and financial calculations. \nDemonstrated accuracy and thoroughness. \nCompensation:\nGenerac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based is $23.30 - $32.62/hr. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
