Responsibilities include automation controls systems design, PLC/SCADA programming, simulation and testing, and start up commissioning. The Senior Control Systems Engineer also contributes to overall team performance by training/mentoring associates, providing technical assistance, and improving processes and standards.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop Machine Integration Plan and schedules for Manufacturing Execution System (MES); \nExecute Machine Integration Plans - PLC/SCADA Programming, Testing, Start up Commissioning \nActs as the SME for plant IE/ME resources on control systems programing. \nPrepare project deliverables including statements of work, status reports and budgets. \nEnsure adherence to Company standards and methodologies; \nDiscuss needs with internal customers in a non-technical language; \nAnalyze customer requests, understand need, and document in Functional Specification; \nTranslate functional requirements into System Design Specifications; \nDevelop programs to comply with system requirements; \nMentor and guide project team members to deliver on the project/program requirements; \nEnsure customer acceptance by testing validation, and training users in changes to business processes. \nOther duties as assigned. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering; \n5 + years’ experience with programming Industrial controls, PLC’s, HMI’s and Industrial communication protocols; \nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor degree in Industrial Automation, Engineering, Computer Science or MIS; \nExperience with PLC programming using Rockwell Logix and GE RXi Platforms; \nExperience with GE Proficy Suite - Machine Edition, Cimplicity, iFix and Historian; \nExperience configuring OPC Servers, Historians; \nThorough understanding of Industrial Communication Protocols - Modbus, DeviceNet, Profinet; \nExperience with SQL Server databases. \nExperience successfully managing technical projects through the entire project cycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, commissioning, and closing phases. \nFormalized training and/or education in Industrial Automation, Engineering, Computer Science or MIS; \nExperience implementing software used in 24x7 shop floor environments. \nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:\nAbility to develop and integrate software packages and solutions for industrial controllers. \nAbility to establish strong working relationships with both technical and non-technical members of staff. \nAbility to be hands on with MOM software configuration, scripting and database connectivity; \nAbility to communicate effectively in both written and oral format, with both vendors and internal customers; \nAbility to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment; \nSelf-motivated and driven to accomplish company goals. \nGreat Reasons to work for Generac:\nCompetitive Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k and many more\nScheduled events throughout the year that allow our employees, both current and retirees, to gather together and enjoy their time with their families and co-workers\nPride!
