This role partners closely with radio, controller, engine, manufacturing, and applications teams to define, document, manage, communicate, verify, and validate system-level requirements throughout new-product development and ongoing project work. You will leverage Codebeamer for requirements tracking and independently drive broad technical direction through completion.\nMajor Responsibilities\nServes as the systems integrator for Home Standby products, bringing mechanical, electronic, and embedded firmware subsystems together into one complete product.\nPartners with radio, controller, engine, manufacturing, applications, and other engineering teams to define subsystem interfaces and resolve integration issues.\nGathers customer and stakeholder needs and develops, documents, communicates, maintains, and manages system-level requirements.\nUses Codebeamer to manage requirements.\nDefines verification and validation strategies and ensures test plans and results demonstrate that system requirements have been met.\nDevelops and maintains system architecture, block and boundary diagrams, system inputs and outputs, and Interface Control Documents.\nLeads and participates in technical design reviews, integration reviews, and cross-functional decision making across the product lifecycle.\nApplies DFMEA and DVP&R methods to identify technical risks, define controls, establish validation coverage, and track mitigation actions.\nReviews 3D CAD models in Creo, SolidWorks, or comparable environments to understand interfaces, packaging, and integration constraints; advanced CAD modeling is not a primary responsibility.\nIdentifies and communicates system risks, opportunities, dependencies, priorities, and recommended actions to technical and business stakeholders.\nIndependently translates broad technical direction into executable plans and drives work through completion in a developing systems engineering function.\nMentors less experienced engineers and promotes consistent requirements, documentation, integration, and validation practices.\nSupports product development plans in delivering on-schedule, on-cost, on-quality, and compliant solutions.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline\n8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including systems engineering or systems integration for complex products with interacting mechanical, electrical/electronic, and embedded firmware subsystems\nPreferred Job Requirements:\nMaster of Science degree in a STEM discipline\nINCOSE certification\nExperience with Home Standby generators, power management systems, or other complex products combining mechanical, electrical/electronic, controls, and embedded firmware subsystems\nExperience with systems engineering and requirements management in a product development environment, including the V-model.\nCodebeamer experience for requirements management, traceability, and verification tracking.\nCreo experience; comparable 3D CAD experience such as SolidWorks is also relevant.\nJIRA and Confluence experience.\nExperience with radio communications, controllers, engine control modules, manufacturing integration, or connected applications.\nExperience creating system architecture documents, including block diagrams, boundary diagrams, schematics, interconnect diagrams, and Interface Control Documents.\nDemonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate technical information for varied audiences.\nKnowledge of electrical power systems, electromechanical packaging, and applicable regulatory standards.\nAt this time candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future cannot be considered inclusive of OPT or H1B transfer.\nNo 3rd parties or agencies at this time.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
