The Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams from engineering, manufacturing, and program management, to coordinate resources, resolve technical challenges, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements. This work may include new designs, retrofits, obsolescence efforts, and field issues.\nUnder general supervision with limited review, this position is responsible for determining and developing effective approaches for resolving a wide range of complex engineering problems. Assignments are normally outlined in terms of overall objectives and anticipated results. Work is reviewed at milestones or at completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Documents findings, communicates results to engineering staff and makes technical presentations as required. May coordinate segments of a specific project and may have frequent inter- organization and customer contact on difficult technical issues. Provides direction to design or technical staff and may provide direction to less experienced professional staff.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCollaborates with engineering teams to define project requirements, milestones, and technical deliverables for new systems and retrofit solutions.\nLeads and supports the planning, execution, and delivery of technical development and retrofit projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.\nTroubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves airframe, aerostructure, mechanical-system, installation, and integration issues in assigned areas by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.\nInteracts with customers to understand their requirements, provides technical updates, and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.\nPrepares and presents technical documentation and project status reports to leadership and customers, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.\nSupports engineering estimates and proposals in response to customer and program management direction.\nSolves complex engineering challenges, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.\nDirects the activities of designers, technicians and may direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.\nPerforms and coordinates root-cause analyses and corrective actions to address production and fielding issues.\nSupports the planning and coordination of engineering changes, including configuration impacts, cut-in plans, production incorporation, and fielding activities.\nPlans and coordinates the maintenance of engineering solutions, including documentation, issue tracking, reporting, and technical presentations, in accordance with established processes.\nMaintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nResponsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
