The department designs automated test platforms for remotely piloted air vehicles, ground support equipment, and engines as well as real time data acquisition platforms for flight and ground testing.\nGA-ASI’s product line offers a wide variety of platforms for automated designers to work on from power systems to video and datalink applications.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nApplies technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned engineering problems.\nCollaborate with various engineering teams to plan, coordinate, and implement automated or semi-automated test systems.\nDevelop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnect diagrams, cable assemblies, and hardware interface documentation for automated test platforms.\nUse electrical computer-aided design (CAD) tools and schematic-capture tools to support hardware design and documentation.\nCommunicate hardware and software design concepts.\nApplies technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned engineering problems. Perform instrumentation hardware bring-up, functional testing, verification, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on circuit assemblies, instrumentation, power systems, and test equipment.\nProvide support in person and through documentation generation of findings and implemented solutions.\nWorking knowledge of LabVIEW environment.\nCapable of writing detailed summary reports by collating data from various sources.\nFollow department standards for hardware and software development, including peer reviews and proper source control etiquette.\nMaintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.\nExpected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.\nGenerate and maintain hardware documentation, including design descriptions, schematics, interface documents, test procedures, test reports, root-cause analyses, and corrective-action documentation.\nMay be required to make brief technical presentations.\nWe recognize and
