GA-SI is a leading-edge expert in systems integration technologies, reliability improvements, and controls system design.We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Technician to join our team in San Angelo, TX.\nUnder general supervision, this position is responsible for fabricating, modifying, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining ground, airborne, and electronic equipment such as unmanned aerial vehicles, ground control stations, and ground support equipment in accordance with established technical specifications, engineering instructions, and technical orders and procedures. Performs work involved in routine disassembly, repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and accessories.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperates UAV, ground control stations and ground support equipment and all subordinate systems at operation locations.\nAnalyzes customer requirements and evaluate product implementation to meet specifications and end user applications. Assesses customers' needs for data interface and may recommend actions for coordinative product solutions.\nProvides technical support on the installation, configuration, application and repair of products and systems to customers at operational locations.\nPerforms troubleshooting and repair of ground and airborne electronic equipment. \nUtilizes product knowledge, sound judgment and logical reasoning to determine technical solutions to moderately complex problems.\nRepairs or replaces components based on test results, intermediate system knowledge, technical documents, engineering instructions, schematics, blueprints or written/verbal instructions.\nPerforms installation, configuration and test of computer hardware, software and networked systems. \nDiagnoses and corrects malfunctions as required.\nPerforms inspections and preventative maintenance on ground and airborne systems. \nMaintains required records and forms in accordance with company and customer specifications.\nValidates and verifies accuracy of technical documents and procedures. \nMay recommend changes to technical documents and procedures based on system knowledge and best industry practices.\nFabricates, installs, troubleshoots and repairs wire harnesses and assemblies. \nEnsures proper routing and clamping of wire harnesses and assemblies.\nRepresents group with internal and external customers and other personnel.\nMay conduct training and practical instruction of peers and customers in the use of ground and airborne electronic systems.\nPerforms other duties as
