Analyzes, investigates and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nReads and understands processes and procedures as they pertain to the job.\nReads and understands moderate to complex documentation such as drawings, schematics, diagrams, wire lists, work instructions, production orders and procedures.\nIdentifies discrepancies in assembly processes or documentation and promptly escalates. \nHas a clear understanding of the 5S methodology and how to implement it into a daily routine.\nPrecision lapping of shims and critical mechanical interfaces.\nBonding of optical components, including potting of lenses, bipods to mirror substrates, etc.\nPerforms mechanical alignment of optical components to tight tolerances.\nExperience with air bearing rotary table Height gauge, mu-checker.\nUnderstands the importance of maintaining an ESD safe work environment. \nPerforms/Completes system assembly and integration, working to technical drawings and schematics.\nWorks closely with engineering in build process development and improvement, and application of lessons learned.\nUses calibrated tools such as DMM’s, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches and crimpers.\nAnalyzes, evaluates and resolves engineering related production problems.\nEvaluates, develops and controls manufacturing processes, procedures and tooling.\nAnalyzes defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment and systems; analyzes and routes non-conforming reports; develops and implements corrective action.\nIdentifies training needs and trains appropriate staff.\nMay represent group as member of change control board.\nAnalyzes, investigates and recommends design and process changes;
