We are looking for someone with drive, talent, and experience in Telemetry System Design for avionics applications who also thrives in a fast-paced, Research and Development (R&D) environment. The successful candidate will report to an Electrical Engineering Manager and, alongside high-caliber staff, will be engaged in the engineering support and new development of custom flights computers, power systems, telemetry instrumentation systems, and harnessing for in-house guided missile and projectile applications, and a variety of other technologies in the expanding product portfolio of GA-EMS.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nWork with GA-EMS Engineering staff and chief engineers in the concept development and prototype design, integration, and test of Avionics electronics, telemetry systems, and telemetry ground stations. \nContribute to instrumentation interface circuitry design, networking, & telemetry (data) system requirements development, architecture design, testing, & operation for short and longer range missions.\nWorking knowledge of circuit, flight/test harness design, data acquisition systems, TM encoders/decoders, including familiarity with and the creation of electrical drawings, wire selection, shielding, military connectors, circuit theory, signal processing, and embedded systems.\nDemonstrate prior experience in the improvement of legacy systems and development of new systems.\nGenerate electrical architecture solutions for new project needs, perform electrical engineering analyses for systems and circuits, schematic design, PCB design, firmware design, test procedure creation, failure analysis, communicate results to engineering and program management staff, give technical presentations, and manage technical effort schedules.\nGrasp, understand, correlate, and apply concepts in electrical engineering to pieces in a complex system.\nPlan and execute technical efforts quickly and strategically with general directions and minimal supervision.\nMay represent the organization as the prime technical contact on projects.\nPerforms other duties as assigned or required.\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of
