As part of your application, you must upload proof of enrolment and your most recent academic transcript.\n The Applications team for the Land C5ISR Program is looking for a Co-op Software Engineer to join our team. We develop and integrate various software products that enable the Canadian Army to support and accomplish their missions. Our focus is predominantly on Battle Management and Planning applications. On this team, you can expect to work in an Agile development framework on a variety of different technologies, including deploying web-based server applications, and working with messaging networks over tactical radios.\nIn this role, you can expect to:\nImplement software to meet the requirements, Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria\nDevelop and perform tests and debugging of code\nIdentify defects, resolve issues and verify changes\nSupport and perform Product level test and integration efforts\nParticipate in code reviews\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective\nExpand knowledge of latest technologies, products and market trends relevant to area of work\nPerforming related duties as assigned\n What You Need to Have to Succeed\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer, Software, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.\nExperience in, or interest to learn Java, Python.\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nExperience with the Canadian Army is an asset. \nExperience with AI/ML models is an asset.\nExperience with databases is an asset.\nExperience with distributed systems is an asset.\nExperience with automated testing is an asset.\nIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Final compensation will be determined based on your relevant work experience to date.
