Every day, your skills will directly impact programs that matter.\n We are currently hiring for a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support our Manned Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (MAISR) In-Service Support (ISS) Program. This is a long-term program in which General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada and our partner, Voyageur Aviation, will provide a full-suite of maintenance and engineering services for the Royal Canadian Air Forces new fleet of Beechcraft King-Air 350 Extended Range aircraft and its ground training devices.\nThe services include airworthiness, program management, flight safety, maintenance, materiel management, technical publications, and engineering support to modifications. We will provide these services at their Main Operating Base 8 Wing, Trenton, Ontario and wherever and whenever the aircraft are deployed internationally in support of DND operations.\nThe Deputy Program Manager may be co-located with the MAISR Weapon System (WSM) team in Ottawa and be the prime program point of contact for technical matters. Although the Program Manager has overall accountability for the successful execution of the Program, some of the work tasks associated with the Program Manager roles and responsibilities will be delegated to the Deputy Program Manager.\nYou will be responsible for the following activities, but not limited to:\nResponsible to work with the MAISR ISS WSM on short and long-term planning\nWork with WSM in identifying customer needs and support with Statement of Work generation\nWork with WSM in prioritizing activities for Team Certas\nLiaise with DND Airworthiness auditors (exchange documentation, obtain clarification and/or response to queries as applicable\nResponsible to ensure short and long-term plans are communicated and understood by the program team, and status is reported in a timely manner;\nResponsible for tracking and reporting of program performance\nCoordinating with WSM regarding timing for reporting, meetings, etc. and addressing WSM technical issues and feedback\nSupport the Program Manager as duties assigned\n Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems or Computer) or equivalent experience\nProject Management Professional certificate would be an asset\nKnowledge/Experience:\nSkilled in managing programs according to cost, schedule, and quality commitments\nComprehensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies\nDesire and capability to interact effectively with customers to influence, negotiate, assure a level of intimacy and satisfaction, and grow the assigned portfolio\nLeadership skills including interpersonal skills and collaboration\nStrong writing skills and experience writing program management plans\nFamiliarity with project planning techniques and fiscal management\nCreative problem solving to contribute to continuous growth and improvement\nPreferred skills:\nExperience on Major Aircraft modification and/or In-Service Support programs\nTraining or experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Operations\nExperience working with Original Equipment Manufacturers or Suppliers\nExperience in maintaining and modifying civilian type aircrafts\nGood understanding of cyber security and information technology\nUnderstanding of estimating and business capture processes\nExperience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models \nIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
