The Engineering Manager leads a team of talented engineers to ensure program execution in compliance with both schedule and cost constraints and alignment with program goals and priorities.\nManaging delivery of requirements to the customer as per program commitments\nLeading a diverse group of professionals in the areas of software and systems\nDetermining the engineering success path within programmatic constraints\nSupporting GDMS-C Program Management to ensure program goals are achieved and customer related issues are resolved\nMonitoring engineering effectiveness and making adjustments as required\nManaging compliance adherence and contract closure of product requirements\nProviding effective teambuilding across multi-discipline engineering teams\nManaging deliveries with complex dependencies\nAbility to make effective engineering trade-offs and follow through with associated decisions\nSome travel will be required\n Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of engineering standards and methods\nSignificant engineering experience including:Experience in development, tests and sell-off of complex integrated systems\nExperience with design and deployment of software for aircraft systems including aspects of air-worthiness\n\nExperience leading, managing, and directing multi-disciplined engineering staff\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present, lead meetings, composing letters and reports, and interact with a wide array of program professionals on a daily basis\nExperience with design, development, and/or testing of airborne products or aircraft modifications\nHighly adaptable, with a proven ability to lead in uncertainty\nExperience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) licence\nExperience with airworthiness certification\nIt is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.\n What We Offer The hiring salary range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000 CAD per annum. This role is eligible for the management incentive plan.
