The role operates at a systems-of-systems level, directs cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across networking, computing and storage, hardware and software integration, and cybersecurity, and delivers executive-level communications to senior military and civilian stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nLead systems-level architecture, design, integration, initial lab/field testing, site deployment, and knowledge transfer for NGG Zero Trust capabilities across classified and unclassified enclaves.\nDirect and synchronize cross-functional IPTs spanning networking, compute/storage, hardware integration, software integration, and cybersecurity to deliver mission outcomes.\nDefine and own the Zero Trust technical approach (identity, access, segmentation, visibility, policy enforcement) and ensure solution maturity through subsystem design documentation, testing, and enterprise deployment.\nDrive requirements management, risk identification and mitigation, test planning, operational transition, and lifecycle systems engineering rigor for complex Defense acquisition scope.\nCoordinate RMF/JSIG alignment, eMASS/A&A activities, STIG enforcement, asset and product support form submissions, and contract data deliverables in partnership with the AFLCMC/HNIB PMO/COR.\nPrepare and deliver clear, concise briefings, technical decision papers, and roadmap recommendations for senior leadership (O-6/GS-15 audiences).\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.\nMinimum 10 years of enterprise IT engineering and architecture experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through design, integration, test, and fielding.\nDemonstrated experience leading IPTs that span networking, compute and store, hardware integration, software integration, and cybersecurity.\nDemonstrated experience supporting an engineering team to develop, integrate, and deliver a Zero Trust solution.\nDemonstrated experience with executive communications (written and oral) of engineering designs for O-6/GS-15 level stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on a large, complex DoD acquisition program (ACAT II or larger); government or federal system integrator background.\nPrior leadership of teams to develop, integrate, and deliver Zero Trust solutions across multi-enclave environments.\nExperience supporting AFLCMC/HNIB environments and coordinating with joint/service component stakeholders.\nRelevant cloud and enterprise architecture experience (e.g., AWS/Azure, enterprise network modernization, architecture roadmaps, governance).\nAzure or AWS Solution Architect\nActive CISSP or CSSIP\nMicrosoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator\nClearance\nFinal Secret required (TS with SCI eligibility preferred).\nWork Location\nRemote with travel to Hanscom AFB, MA (AFLCMC/HNIB) with potential travel to CONUS and OCONUS base locations for site surveys, installation, and deployment activities.\nTravel\nTravel to support engineering integration, design reviews, site surveys, site preparation, equipment installation, and deployment (authorized per NGG ODC & Travel guidance).\nGDIT Is Your Place\nFull-flex work week (where eligible and approved).\n401(k) with company match.\nComprehensive health and wellness packages.\nProfessional growth opportunities, internal mobility, paid education, and certifications.\nPaid vacation and holidays.\nThe likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
