Here, you’ll enable the success of the most critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Contract Management.\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\nAs a Contracts Manager, You will play a crucial role in the Contracts & Acquisition Management Office supporting the Homeland Security Sector as a subject matter expertise related to the contract life cycle (but not limited to) Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Proposals, Contract Negotiation, Contract Administration and Closeout.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your contracts expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Contracts Manager must have:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree\nExperience: 7+ years of related experience\nTechnical skills: Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Oracle is preferred. \n Role requirements:Previous leadership experience\nAdvanced knowledge of contracts administration practices, procedures, and processes. Advanced knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and CAS.\nExperience with negotiation and administration of Government contracts\nEffective administrative and organizational skills\nEffective presentation, communication, and business writing skills\nProven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and relationships in a matrix environment; influence people outside of direct reporting relationships/levels; and communicate effectively at all levels.\nProvides advice on contract terms and conditions and applicable legal requirements, including but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)\nInteracts with program managers, finance staff, subcontract professionals and others in a highly collaborative environment to ensure compliance and mission success\n\nSecurity clearance level: Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly\nUS citizenship required\nLocation: This role will require working at our GDIT facility in Herndon, VA. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
