GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.\nHOW A DATA ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT\nProvide enterprise-wide data design and optimization for conceptual architecture and data solution projects, including conceptual, integration, and sourcing models, aligned with DON’s Total Force Manpower and HR strategy.\nCollaborate with DoD and DON IT domains to support portfolio0 goals, ensuring alignment with DON Chief Data Office (CDO) priorities and improving availability of trusted data for insights and operational decision-making.\nGenerate high-level operational concept documents describing interactions between system architecture, the user environment, and external systems.\nCreate, modify, maintain, and document baselines for data transformation and standardization efforts using Jira or similar project management tools.\nTranslate enterprise and business needs into long-term information architecture patterns and solutions aligned with DON CDO policies, regulations, data frameworks, and governance standards.\nProvide data modeling and validation services that produce flexible, extensible, and scalable data structure designs supporting effective business decisions.\nCreate and manage multiple data design deliverables including data models, diagrams, flows, and metadata within defined timelines.\nSupport the development, implementation, and sustainment of strategic data architecture initiatives including:\nMaster data management\nData quality programs\nData management policies and standards\nData governance practices\nMetadata management frameworks\n\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\n Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related field.\nThree (3) years of experience modeling processes and data using architecture disciplines and industry modeling standards.\nThree (3) years of experience with data management, enterprise repositories, data modeling, data quality, and data mapping tools.\n\nRequired Skills & AbilitiesAbility to design enterprise data solutions that align with strategic data initiatives.\nExperience developing conceptual and integration models for large-scale environments.\nStrong collaboration skills for working across multi-domain DON and DoD IT teams.\nProficiency with data modeling tools and project management systems such as Jira.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex enterprise needs into scalable data design solutions.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\n\n Required CertificationsCurrent Network+, Security+, or higher, meeting DoD CIO Information Assurance (IA) certification requirements.\n\nPreferred Skills:Ability to engage well with others and passionate about providing exemplary customer experience.\nAbility to embrace change in a positive and enthusiastic manner.\n\nSecurity Clearance: Secret\nLocation: Remote\nU.S. Citizenship required\n Position is contingent upon the Department of the Navy (DON) Security Office receiving favorable background investigation results for the Contractor Labor Associate (CLA) prior to the start date\nThe likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
