We support mission-critical IT and cybersecurity initiatives across 54 states and territories in alignment with Army, DISA, and DoW policies, ensuring a secure, scalable, and modern environment.\nAs a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be a seasoned technical contributor. You will drive architecture development and modernization, provide senior-level technical guidance, and help ensure that solutions are consistent, secure, and aligned with mission and business objectives. While not a formal team lead, you will be relied on for deep expertise and sound architectural judgment.\nMeaningful Work and Your Impact\nIn this role, you will:\nContribute to the development and refinement of enterprise architectures, including current (“as-is”) and target (“to-be”) states across infrastructure, applications, data, and security.\n\nSupport the creation and maintenance of enterprise architecture roadmaps that guide modernization, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and technology standardization.\n\nProvide senior-level technical insight and recommendations to architects, engineers, program staff, and cybersecurity teams on architecture options and tradeoffs.\n\nCapture, document, and maintain the enterprise IT environment, including models, diagrams, inventories, and reference architectures for 54 states and territories.\n\nApply and reinforce architecture principles, standards, and patterns that promote interoperability, security, and reuse across programs.\n\nAssess existing systems and proposed solutions for alignment with enterprise architecture, security requirements, performance needs, and operational constraints.\n\nEvaluate emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends and contribute to assessments and recommendations for their applicability.\n\nTranslate complex technical architectures into clear diagrams, models, and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure architectures support zero trust principles, RMF, and DoW/Army/DISA security policies.\n\nParticipate in technical exchange meetings, design reviews, and architecture boards, providing expert input and constructive feedback.\n\nIdentify architecture gaps, dependencies, and risks, and propose improvements or mitigations.\n\nSupport improvements in architecture documentation, modeling practices, data quality, and configuration management.\n\nInformally mentor and support junior and mid-level team members, sharing best practices and lessons learned.\n\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma required.\n\nAA/AS/BA/BS in IT or a related technical discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, and work experience.\n\nExperience\n5+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Systems Architecture, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related IT disciplines.\n\nExperience supporting or designing large-scale enterprise environments (on-prem, hybrid, and/or cloud).\n\nExperience in DoW, Army, DISA, or other federal/defense environments strongly preferred.\n\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and practices (e.g., DoWAF, TOGAF, UML/SysML).\n\nDeep understanding of network, infrastructure, and systems architecture (e.g., routing/switching, firewalls, virtualization, storage, identity management, cloud services).\n\nProficiency with architecture and modeling tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Visio, draw.io) and data validation techniques.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure, AWS), including hybrid architecture concepts and migration considerations.\n\nSolid understanding of cybersecurity principles, RMF, and DoW/Army security directives and standards.\n\nExperience working in ITSM/ITIL-based environments and using tools such as ServiceNow.\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure, M365, SharePoint) and their integration within enterprise architectures.\n\nCertifications:\nMust meet DoW 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) prior to start.\n\nMust obtain a computing environment certification (e.g., ITIL v4 Foundations) within six months of hire.\n\nWhen DoW 8140 requirements are implemented on the program/contract, employees must conform to 8140 certification standards.\n\nSecurity Clearance:\nActive SECRET security clearance required and must be maintained.\n\nSkills and Abilities:\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while applying strong technical, communication, and documentation skills.\n\nStrong verbal and written
