The FSO will serve as the primary site security lead, partnering closely with program management, government representatives, and internal stakeholders.\nMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT\nAs a Facility Security Officer (FSO), the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful.\nProtect classified government information and ensure compliance with all personnel, physical, administrative, and program security standards.\nCreate, issue, and program employee badges for site access.\nConduct new-hire, annual security briefings and debriefings, as well as security education and awareness programs.\nInvestigate security incidents, losses, and violations; recommend and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain and audit classified storage areas, documents, and associated records.\nProvide security oversight for closed areas and restricted spaces.\nManage and retain customer records and audit documentation.\nConduct biannual self-inspections in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements.\nInterface routinely with program management to address program-specific security requirements.\nDeliver security briefings, presentations, and written guidance to employees and stakeholders.\nProcess and safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and other sensitive information in accordance with DoWI 5200.48. DoWM 5400.07 and DoW Freedom of Information Act Program. .\nApply physical and procedural security measures that protect personnel while minimizing operational impact.\nMaintain, audit, and continually improve the industrial security program to protect employees, assets, and classified materials.\nRepresent the organization during interactions with senior leaders, site management, and government representatives.\nInterpret, administer, and revise security policies, processes, and procedures as needed.\nProcess new employee security clearance requests.\nTrack security clearance investigations and support Personnel Security (PERSEC) functions, including DISS and NBIS administration.\nProvide COMSEC security management and oversight.\nSupport construction, accreditation, and maintenance of closed areas and restricted spaces.\nKnowledge of ICD 705 SCIF requirements.\nComplete other security-related projects and duties as assigned.\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED\nBring your FSO expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
